Movie Story

A Letter to the President tells the story of Afghanistan – a multi-ethnic and complex society and land where people meet in a constantly changing middle ground, where war has destroyed identity and morality, and where families and society survive despite overwhelming pain and discrimination. Yet, amidst the weakening social values, one family offers hope, light, and vision for the way forward. Roya Film House is proud to make available for screening the powerful story of Soraya, a woman who fights hard for what she believes and for her own survival. Many women who have faced similar challenges and pain behind closed curtains share Soraya’s story.
